Family wellbeing through Counseling, Education, and Research
North Georgia Family Counseling Centers empower families to proactively nurture and maintain thriving, healthy, holistic relationships through excellent clinical services and state of the art education in essential relationship skills.
Our understanding of wellness comes from clinical and pastoral experience, the Biblical text, proven scientific research, and Church tradition. We work within local churches because the community of faith is an important resource in creating healthy families.
NGFCC is diligently working to get years 1 and 2 of The Ark Curriculum ready for site-testing.
For 6 Sundays beginning July 5th, Rev. Lynne Smith will be leading a sermon series at Midway United Methodist Church: Sowing Seeds of Hope - Biblical Wisdom for Families. During this series we will engage in a conversation with Biblical Wisdom, the science of the brain and human development, our church and family traditions, as well as our unique personal experience to discover deep abiding truths that guide life in our family systems. “Helping congregations to impact families with the emerging results of family research in ways that are faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the expressed purpose of the North Georgia Family Counseling Centers.” -Dr. Boyd Whaley
